I kinda am losing the urge to blog about my life when it's so faithfully updated on TWITTER!

Went out to Kiki's with Cakes, Re, and Jared last night to start it off. Me, out before 11pm is just trouble. And my thirst level is off the charts. So by the time we made it out to 39Hotel (aka the Twitter party) I was pretty happy.

Had Super Cee Dubb and Jami stealing my phone to tweet the best no sence nonsence about swag and babies. HAHAHA! Is it bad that I'm laughing about this to myself?!

WARNING: I'm about to get reallll lurk-ish.

So Cakes turned me onto the fact that you can do screen shots on your iTouch/iPhone. MONEY!

Haha. Zen and Keifers were onto my scheme. Which totally wasn't a scheme at all! I walked back to Davies house to try and drag out the girlfriends, and when I got there they were all katsu already, and dead to the world. Somehow I passed out in the middle of the living room floor.

I did wake up at 7am, feeling like a champ. And I did take a nice little bubble bath, which I passed out in for a good couple of minutes I think (ps: BB's are the key to removing last nights tramp stamps!). And I did drive back home. And I am still up. And I will be at The Loft tonight, for CW's bday party number 19 this week...

So, prior to that, I'm thinking of taking he and his lady out to dinner at someplace snazzy. Suggestions welcome. Somewhere that we won't leave smelling like the place. Cause if I didn't care, Tanaka of Tokyo would so be my spot.

And prior to THAT, we'll be out at Magic Island slanging some paddle boards! Yea, it's father daughter day, he owns a surf shop out in Waipio Gentry (PRSHI, dude, he totally needs a web designer, aha). So if you're in the area, shopping, which I might do since Ala Moana opens at 6 am tomorrow, swing by!

Christmas is tomorrow. Mid-wrapping blog time.

BFFFL Davie moved back home. So pumped. But kinda not. Been uber busy with LIFE lately. On the heaviest bender of my life thanks (but no thanks) to her!

Trying to plant my feet back on the ground tonight. Spent today braving crowds at Ward (saw Zenny!!! Thanks love!) and Ala Moana (visited Reoni and Christina!). Power shopping moves were so in effect. I learned I'm way better solo.

Moving on to where I've been. Starting from, the start.

The Contrast Mag party. Gonna go out on a limb and say BEST fricken time I've had in a LONG time! Those guys rock, so hard. Go lurk them if you haven't already. Quality reads!

Second half of my Cali trip. The few days before I went up to SB I was ridiculously sick. But I drank more water than a camel who'd been in the desert for a week, and was good in time to brave a road trip with TOBY!!!

Seriously, Toby's the best tour guide ever :). Can't wait for more road trips with this one!

iPhone cameras aren't too shabby... And neither are SB's sunsets.

Met up with RPizzle! Then we headed out to see Iration in Downtown :) Met some darling little ladies.

Let me tell you this: RP is quite possibly the most awesome host. The kid cooks everyone grub after being out all night, then takes you paddle boarding... Haha.

We were stoked, even though I don't look so, but mostly because I really don't remember this moment. Haha.

Completely lost track of the night. But it was def a good one... I know it's great when I stop documenting due to having too much fun! Went to breakfast with RP, Keers and Marcus the next morning at this awesome little joint.

Then it was back home to Santa Monsterca. Home, haha. See the funny thing is, I was supposed to leave the day after we drove up to SB, but me and my procrastinating skills bought myself an extra 4 days! Enough time to hang with the ladies at the tree lighting ceremony at the Grove in LA!

So on my last night (for real) Merr and Tiff took me down to the pier. Then we had the most outrageous food binge session consisting of wayyy too much In & Out and DIDDY RIESE!

I recently discovered LOOKBOOK.nu around the same time of the Election '08.

And to me, these two things go hand in hand.

Barack Obama stands for change, and is a direct sign that we as individuals, having made the conscious decision to elect Barack as our leader, are ready to change and willing to accept it.

On the other hand, I feel, LOOKBOOK.nu a website dedicated to lovers of style and fashion, has a goal not far rooted in their beginnings as Obama's quest for change. LOOKBOOK is all about celebrating differences, appreciating individuality and those with the courage to be different and take risks.

So tonight I write to express how truly proud I am to be living NOW. Now, in a time where change IS ~~coming~~ happening, people are becoming AWARE and the world is slowing becoming a better place. It's so good to see a new president, and constantly, through LB.nu, see individuals being celebrated for being innovative and just REAL.

Love love love. I am ecstatic tonight.

Apple's and Another Kanye Track?

Ever tried to blog with a hang over? I swear, it's like a totally different person wrote my last draft entry. Haha.

Yesterday. The weather was horrid. But I love a rainy day every once and awhile. Before work, I went down to the Apple store in Ala Moana. That place is seriously a mad house at every hour of the day. I felt like a kid walking into a hospital explaining all the problems I had.

Problem 1: My new iPhone came without a charger, so, I NEED ONE! (In response, "Sorry, we ran out, come back another day.")
Problem 2: While I waited for the new chargers to come in (a month +) I used my Mac, which, I broke the charger for so, I NEED ONE of those too!
Problem 3: The car charger/iPod hook up that I JUST bought wasn't working so, GIVE ME A NEW ONE!!!

Really, if you know me, you'd know I have the worst luck with EVERYTHING. Most things I own don't make it past a year.

But here I am, I just got my MacBook back up and running last night. (After spending a good 2 hours of wait time in the Mac store. Not a happy camper). I spent a few hours trying to get updated on all the music, blogging, and TV shows that I missed. Good night. Aside from Ninja Video completely not working when I tried to watch a second episode of House M.D. Grrr...

And I know everyone's all about the new Kanye tracks that keep getting leaked and released, so here...

So here goes.

Last week, I went and visited my friend Anthony over at Two Thumbs Tattoo. See I've got a problem with impulse tattooing. One second I'm considering getting a tattoo, and the next day, BOOM. It's there. Literally.

I love Banksy. Enough said. If you don't know his work. I don't know what to say to you! Other than please, read THIS.

I got real creative and REAL crafty in my scrambletogetatattoo mode, and resorted to the internet for some insight. So, James Lane Allen, "As You Dream, You Shall Become." did a collabo with the Banksy Girl and now own my inner right arm.

It WAS sore and definitely WORSE than my ribs. But, I love it. Anthony's not too shabby ;) and I just fueled my addiction. So, if you're looking for some place to do your tattoo, hit them up.

miguel. the first song i heard off his myspace was "strawberry amazing" and honestly, that song made me wanna dance around naked. it was that sexy. he's got a more pop vibe, but his voice is unreal! pretty recent, he posted some new stuff, go give it a listen. he's promised to keep me posted about a CD release date, i'm excited to hear what else he's got. after repeatedly being told to blog about music, i guess i'll give it a shot.

i think my mom perfectly describes my love for music... "nicole, if you spent as much time fooling around with music and remembering useless lyrics, you'd be a genius." this was in response to me failing english my freshman year of high school, and the only thing written in my "english notebook" was song lyrics, poems, and doodles.

i'm positive that without my little macbook that i got a little over a year ago, i wouldn't be where i'm at with music. i listen to pretty much everything, so, here's what i'm gonna ATTEMPT to do... everyday, a new song or artist or website. i'm not promising they'll be the most up-to-date or hip new thing, but... i guess i'll start tomorrow.

i'm not moving in april.

and i'm feeling a WHOLE lot better and more confident about moving it back to the summer time. i've had the hugest reality check this past week. i haven't been sleeping, it was all i thought about and i think it was making me looney. so i'm finally figuring out how HUGE this move really is, and how much shit i have to get together. just a classic example of my get-up-and-go attitude proving to be not such good idea. haha.

so there was a whole lotta that, and then there was me and kays mopping 7 layer dip like it was prime rib. and mimosas, which i caught a lot of flack for drinking because apparently it's a "breakfast" drink. alcoholics.

ari and i made it out to country today. it wasn't the sunniest day, and the waves looked like mush, but it cleared up a little towards the end of the day. it's really just nice to get away. we got smoothies at this little van on the side of the road. they were killer.

the highlight of kamehameha school's ho'olaulea...

i'll put up with the awkwardness of seeing old classmates who i haven't talked to since high school for this, any day. seriously, the best hawaiian plate in town for $8.50!!! go next year if you can. i moped this entire plate, but i didn't eat a whole day prior to this, so, you can understand my excitement. haha.

since i'm talking about food, there's this really awesome dim sum place near my house in kaneohe. i'm a HUGE fan of dim sum, and if it wasn't one of the most unhealthy addictions i have, i would eat it everyday... especially these flaky taro balls with shrimp in em. ah... heaven.

and while we're in kaneohe, let me take you on a little trip to the pet store in the mall. sure they've got the cutest puppies, and a pot belly pig so adorable you just wanna take him home, but... what is the purpose of a naked guinea pig?!

i feel bad. it's some kind of breeding project they're on to actually make them hairless. check the little runt under the big white one. gag.

i don't get a lot of time to watch movies in theaters, so pardon my lateness on putting in my two cents about "across the universe."

i was itching to see this when it first came out, but i'm a busy lady, so i just waited until it rolled into our video store. i've watched it a total of 4 times and i'm still finding things that amaze me!

martin luther mccoy's rendition of "while my guitar gently weeps" is beautiful.
t.v. carpio has some splendid pipes, not to mention she's gorgeous.
the scene for "i want you" is craaazy.
and i loooved the boy amidst the rioting opening "let it be."

this movie was fantastic.

seriously, go watch it. now!

awkward??? in case you aren't up on it, there's a little website called flavorpill.com. for me, it's the fricken mecca of arts. check it out, then check out their mini sites: earplug and artkrush. well anyway, they had this little advertisement for this event, kinda like speed dating, only you sit and stare, deep into someones eyes for 2 minutes straight. no conversation, just staring. i wonder how effective that would be for finding someone worthwhile? i mean, sure people can talk up a storm and glorify themselves, but eyes don't lie right??? it's supposed to be televised, so if anyone hears about it, let me know!

right in time for valentines. quite frankly, i was in a state of distress, and sadness but screw it, being single is great. why not enjoy it?

i'm feeling like it's time for one of those, right here and now posts...
about stuff that really doesn't matter.
which is probably the theme of my entire blog.

i love the sunlight and rainy days spent cuddling and watching good movie. i'm a fan of anyone that can cook, well. i have the coolest pup on the earth. i'm a firm believer that music is the cure for everything, and that living with plan for the future IS a good idea although i have no idea what i'm doing. i spend way too much time on my macbook, and i'm constantly on my phone. i work in a video store and it is the dopest job ever. i work in a restaurant and have found that most people are assholes who think the world owes them something. i work a lot, period. i drink a lot of orange juice and am convinced it's keeping me healthy. i hate smoking/ers. i drink and drunk text. i have allergies, and sneeze louder than anyone you've ever heard. i like greens and cobalt, chuck t's, ube ice cream, salmon, and caribbean passions, hold the peaches and throw in some mango. dim sum is amazing and so are acai bowls from the health bar. avocados, plain, in shakes, or in anthing is great. i'm an online shopper and i could care less about the label on my/your clothes, if you feel good in it, you'll look like a million bucks, even if it barely costs more than 10. i like to sing and dance and you'll probably never see me doing either full force like i do by myself. being humble and confident are the most attractive personality traits. i'm negative, i'm working on it. ever since my digital died it's been me and my lomography. film is awesome and fisheyes are rad. i hardly ever remember my dreams until they happen, which is often, hopefully one day i'll remember them, and see my future. i'm abusive, everything i own breaks within a year. i like spending an entire day at the beach, coming home, and taking a hot shower, then getting some. being outdoors thrills me, someone, lets go hiking. moisturize and exfoliate, wear sunscreen and lip balm, condition. "family in transition" the only required reading i've ever enjoyed. i doodle things that don't look like anything. i wanna travel, preferably to europe, but anywhere i can get would be nice. people are weird. a broken heart sucks. men can be complete assholes. girls can be bitches. people with a sense of humor and a positive outlook are the best. i wonder why i never seem to learn some things, and repeat the same mistakes over and over. has anyone ever figured out why, when you meet someone, and are genuinely interested, you suddenly have more options??? that end up screwing you over? if you have, please explain to me this odd force of nature. i'm quite the tom boy and like to run around in shorts and a t-shirt. i honestly have NO sense of style, it takes work. i like bbqs. i like wine. i like blogging knowing damn well i'm the only one who will ever read it. thats all for now.

pretty much life's about to change drastically for me.

i know for sure all of this hasn't hit me yet, i'm pretty sure it will take packing and stressing about money to make me actually realize how HUGE this move really is. especially because i'm moving alone... but shit. oh shit i'm moving alone. shit. yah, i'm scared out of my mind, but living my entire life on this island has done nothing but make me lazy and comfortable to the point where life is a routine, no surprises and no incentive to make me get off my ass and do something. i can't wait to get out of here. i love oahu and i'll be back for sure, i just need a change in my life. something to make me a little uncomfortable, and make my grow up a whole lot...

so, seeming like such a piece of crap morning, i wake up to pouring rain, and i was hoping to get a run in. but no big, i'll just drive over to town and meet sarah to grab a few things. i'm packing up my car and throw, not literally, my dog in the car, and she shit, on the back seat. i clean it, hurried trying to get out of the rain, turn around, and slip in the mud spot that i swear wasn't there a second ago.

i'm pissed right about now, so i let out a yelp of frustration.

i walk back into my house and my mom is screaming at me about yelling, i kindly told her "relax."
"did anyone ever tell you your a bitch, nicole?!"
"yes, why?"
"it's not a good thing. people don't want to hang out with a bitch."

i change my muddy pants, clean my shoes, and leave my house. only to run into traffic on the pali. then turn right back around and come home.

now i'm at work. but things are looking a little better.

i have so much shit to do in the next week/months.

but i can't wait to go on vacation.

so another year is coming to an end.

i swear i blinked and it was over.

i've figured out a few '08 resolutions so far...

1. move off the rock
2. go back to school

both of which are taking a lot of effort in the NOW to accomplish. especially on my own. there's so much to think about and i'm trying to keep my sanity while piecing it together.

and,

3. don't waste any more time with people who don't want to give you their time

it was a good year, i learned a few things, met some really great people, and hopefully, am making improvements on everything.

i'm trying to be a more positive person now. looking at the good things in life, and not taking them for granted. it seems like recently, after letting go and not walking around with a wall in front of me, has opened up a lot of doors, and has allowed me to meet new people who can potentially change my life.

it's amazing the things that can happen when you allow yourself to be open to them. but the funny thing is, to open myself up, i had to let go of a lot of things that were holding me back. they weren't necessarily bad things, just things that needed to be off my plate before i could have another serving.

and speaking of changes, i'm thinking about moving, away. i really need something different in life. sure i've talked about it before, but after a conversation last night, it made me look more deeply at my life. oahu is WAY too small... example: it's virtually impossible to date someone without knowing/hearing things about their past that can sway your decisions. that being just an example... but, in other words, everyone knows someone who knows you. and really, i'm over being "known."

so... anyone ready for a life change? come move away with me. seriously.
